What is a block?

A block is a piece of information, like a message, file or upload-request. We often add new blocks with useful functionalities. Blocks are a smart way to structure and share information.

How are blocks secured?

Blocks you send to other people are encrypted with end-to-end encryption. This means they are protected against unwanted viewers and even the Skotty team can't see their contents.

How many blocks can I keep?

To thank you for testing the new Skotty, you can save and send an unlimited amount of blocks. Feel free to experiment with them to see which ones work best for your workflows.

Can I send blocks to anyone?

Yes, you can share blocks with any normal email address. The recipient will receive an email with a link to access the blocks you sent. Remember to send them their verification code in case one is displayed, this guarantees the recipient is the intended one in case they do not have a Skotty-account.

What do I need to install to use Skotty?

Nothing. Skotty works in any modern web-browser. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, you name it. We even support Internet Explorer 11, but file-sizes are limited to 200 megabyte.

What happens to my existing Skotty-account?

You retain access to your existing Skotty-account. That said, we will ceise to maintain the old Skotty-platform soon. We'll let you know in time when that's about to happen.
